Hi, all.

Fidolook build 93 was released today:
- updates for Windows XP SP2.
- %xface mask was added to place a xface picture anywhere inside a skin.
Option 'Float' for xfaces was replaced with 'Visible', to allow a user
to disable xface built-in displaying mechanism. Making xfaces
'invisible' doesn't mean that %xface won't work.
- numerous fixes for GoldQuoter (highlighting inside #v+ was disabled, a
couple of fixes for smileys, etc).
- massive internal changes to avoid multiple dynamic DLL loads.

You can download it here:
CAB - http://www.fidolook.org/download.php?get=fl_beta
EXE - http://www.fidolook.org/download.php?get=fl_beta_sfx

Separate plugins are available here:
GQ - http://www.fidolook.org/download.php?get=gq_beta
Skipper - http://www.fidolook.org/download.php?get=skipper_beta

AFAIU, xface returns path to a file.
So adding into the skin somethign like that ( <img
src="file://localhost/%xface()"> ) i should make picture visible.
But what when: no skin is used for reading, or old skin with no special
xface mask is selected.
What about IE cache ? Is XFace pushed into cache, or will i again got those
red crosses instead of pictures ?

hi,George:

This is a great good news to me. Thank you for continuous contribution!

I had tried another newsgroup reader software named Agent version 2.0 for
a while. I was impressed by one of it's function:cite only what you select.
Let me explain it to you.

In Agent, when I read a post, if I want to reply ONLY about one or two
sentences of that post, I can select this sentence with my mouse and then
click the Reply button, now the composing window open and there already
appeared what I had selected as the citation at the end of my reply.

But in Fidolook, when I click the Reply button, it will quote the whole
post and the former replies if there is any, then I need to manually delete
those part quoted but I do not want to appear in my reply.

I think this is a big change. If you want to improve Fidolook?please
consider this function first.

Thank you !

In Opera M2 it is even better.
Under message body You have Quick Reply field.
Select some original text, type Your reply, press OK, and message is already
in OutBox.

Alas, i am not sure, that is easily doable, 'cause O.E. is rather outdated
application.

On the other hand, Reply buttons (but not the hotkey ^R or ^G) have
drop-down menu, where there is list of templates.
If George will ever success implementing masks, returning whole body of the
message and selected part of it - then You could be able to make a template,
looking much alike. If there would be one more mask, processing passed text
with quoter, then it could be absolutely alike.
But agree, selecting template from that list would be not as easy as Opera's
M2 :-)
Alas M2 is very unstable :-( They invented GMail approach 2 years before
Google, but still canot make it stable.
