Problems with foreign characters recogntion

I have a WinXp PC and I want to improve OE to automatically recognise
foreign character-sets (cyrillic, hebrew, chinese, arabic).
I think Fidolok is the answer. I'm italian and so I've italian OE.

With Fidolook OE works a little better but only 10% of the message are
correctly viewed. I think the problem is ever the same: many messages don't
includes
the charset information in the heather. I'm sure this is not the only
problem I have because many other newsreaders correctly view the messages
while my FL have problems.

I've problems with many messages but many RusOE+FL users said to me they
correctly view these messages (you can view the entire thread at news://msnews.microsoft.com/upuO9i8MEHA.624-vinx3vjTs7d+B+HIH8YsoJF/***@public.gmane.org).
So I think there is something a I can do to improve my FL (settings,
plug-in, char-set).

Often Mozilla Thunderbird and 40tudeDialog correctly view the body and the
message (Subject included) but Fidolook only the body.

How can I solve this problem?

Examples of my problems: news://msnews.microsoft.com/0EC0AE08-AB7E-4A61-ADAC-325E6D35FB7D-***@public.gmane.org news://msnews.microsoft.com/7453577D-37B9-4599-BA5C-5F352A3ACED1-***@public.gmane.org news://msnews.microsoft.com/c5jhhg$2v60$1-***@public.gmane.org news://msnews.microsoft.com/a659440f-9a29-44f3-ad45-a73f8743e82c-xgDHJDFLc7eK6Uv+L16NkD+zdSzpjDN/@public.gmane.org news://msnews.microsoft.com/0d9601c42606$5d477580$a601280a-***@public.gmane.org

I don't know if the problem is also in the settings of Fidolook (but I
followed http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/PaulGor/cyr_oe.htm) or
something other in my PC or it is a limit of Fidoolok (I think not because
FL+Russian OE users told me it works as good as Dialog or Mozilla).

Is there a way to cancel all the personal settings of FL (I'm using SL
version) to then recustomize it? This is a thing that often works with
various OE problems and I want to try it with FL.

Arioch said to me I must find T-code to solve the problem.
Where I can find T-Code plugin?

Thanks.

Hello, Armando!

I tried this plug-in,it can only recognize Russian. When I go to a HongKong newsgroup which uses the Big5 code for all the posts, this plug-in can not show it correctly. If I press the Encoding button on the FLBar,then all the characters become unreadable. But When I go to the fido7 newsgroup which set Russian the default language, this plug-in can show Russian posts well.

I wish someone will go on to creat some more plug-in to expand the ability of Tcode. For example,plug-ins for recognizing of Chinese(both simplified and traditional),Japanese,Korea,Arabin, etc.

haha,I wish these plug-ins can help Fidolook become the world popular add-on for OE.

Salute to Fidolook team!

Hello, Armando!

Thank you give me a hint to solve the same problem.I have found out the downloading link of the Tcode plug-in for Fidolook. Click the following link:

http://alexboiko.narod.ru/tcodefl.zip

This is directly from the author's personal website. You can get more information on this site, there is also a independent version of Tcode which can convert Russion files.

Good luck!

In which place I must copy tcode.dll and what I should change in Fidolook
settings?

Thanks.
