Hi,

Two new wishes to Fidolook HL 2004 b95:

add some simple options as:

1. Maximize the OE window when startup.
2. Do not show the splash picture of OE.

These tricks seem useless, but somes guys really like it. I think if added,
more users will join the fidolook family.

Thank you !

You can either:
- edit the link file (*.lnk) which is used to launch FL, and specify Run ->
maximized there;
- use a command line option: cmd /c /MAX fidolook.exe.

It's easy: add the NoSplash DWORD 1 value to HKCU\Identities\<your
identity>\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0. There're tweakers which
allow to do the same thing from the interface. Maybe I'll add the
appropriate option to FL options.

hi, George!

You are right. Those two tricks can be done by other ways. But not
convenient. My idea is enable or disable those options just on the Misc
dialogue window. So ordinary users need not to remember some DOS commands or
Registry operations. They can only check or uncheck a box inside the
Fidolook control panel to change something.

1. This is easily accomplished in FL by clicking "Misc" in the FL
Toolbar>>Athena Note tab. Place a check in "Always Maximize Note".
2. The regedit George suggested is a one time edit that will kill the
Splash screen in OE permanently, regardless of whether FL is used or
not. IMHO it's the best way to accomplish what you wish.

hi, Jack!

You also misundersood me.

No 1:
Your way only makes the composer window maximize when open, but I mean to
maximize the main window of OE.

No. 2:
I had mentioned that many users do not like to edit Registry items
themselves. Most users of newsgroup in China are not computer expert, they
ONLY want to enjoy these tricks by check or uncheck a selection box on a
dialogue window in the Fidolook Misc control panel.
